The Power of a Circle

Go ahead! Step inside!

Can a simple circle in the mind’s imagination change your life?

Absolutely!

How many times have you said to yourself, “I don’t believe I can do this.” Or… “I am not like you! I can’t do it!” Or… “I need more education”; “I am just not ready”; “I don’t think I’m good enough to do this”; “Maybe if I take another course I will feel more ready”; “I feel too intimidated”; “I feel like everyone here knows I’m not smart enough to do this”; “The last time I tried I failed miserably”.

So how is this issue affecting you now?

What was the amazing, wonderful, insightful intention you had before the dreaded “mind chatter” began to take over, and how can a circle possibly help this helplessly hopeless situation?

I will tell you how.

The circle will change your mindset, and your new positive mindset moves you forward with confidence instead of staying stuck and living a smaller life than you want to live.

Your imagination is oh so powerful.

Most people give very little credit to the power of the mind.

However, it’s your ticket! The ticket to whatever you want to achieve, effortlessly, joyously, and confidently.

Use your circle and others will be saying “I can’t do it! I’m not like YOU!”

Find the confidence to do what it is you really want to do, without trying to talk yourself into it (this rarely works out well), or convince yourself you can while your stomach is saying otherwise (this also rarely works out well).

Here’s what you do, in simple steps, to find your greatness and keep it with you whenever you need it.

Stand with your eyes closed, and imagine you are standing in your very own circle. Design this circle in your imagination to be beautiful in color and just the way you want it to look every time you step into it. Notice it on the floor all around you in its brilliance, with you standing directly in the center. Notice the color you have made it and keep this image alive.

Now with your eyes closed, remember a time when you were the most confident. Establish this scene in your mind with total clarity. Feel the moment and milk that feeling for a while. You were so darn confident you were even amazing yourself with your ability. What a great moment! Feel it more. Enjoy it. Remember it in detail. Be there in your mind as you stand in your circle. When the scene begins to fade a bit, in your imagination, go ahead and step outside of the circle, while still seeing it near you on the ground.

Now, close your eyes and remember a time when you felt incredibly loved and supported. The kind of love that felt like a warm blanket on a cold night, secure and loved and appreciated. When that scene is vivid in your imagination in full color and you can feel it as if it was right now, step back inside your circle.

Live that moment while standing inside your circle, and feel all of the emotions that come with that memory. Imagine, sense, and feel it vividly, and allow yourself to enjoy that for a few moments.

When the scene begins to fade a little, go ahead and step back outside your circle, with the circle still near you.

Now, imagine a time in your memory when you felt like you had everything going just right! Now step back inside your circle. You knew you were doing great! You almost felt like not letting anyone know just how good things were going for you! You not only had what you needed, but you also had what you wanted, and you felt like you had it all!

What an amazing time that was, and it was happening to YOU!

You loved getting up in the morning because you were on a roll!

Life was incredibly good and you felt amazing!

Enjoy and soak up the feelings and emotions of this time in your life that was so incredibly great. Life was excellent and you were doing everything right!

When that scene begins to fade, step back outside your circle.

Now, with eyes closed, think in your mind of a time when you were feeling extremely energetic! Step back inside your circle. You felt light and high on energy, able to do things so easily and freely with very little effort. You didn’t even feel like getting much sleep as you bounced around and had fun being awake and alive!

As this scene in your mind loses some of its energy, go ahead and step back outside of your circle and stand next to it.

Now, remember again, that time when you felt oh so confident, and step back inside your circle.

You were so capable and everyone knew it!

Establish this scene again vividly in your mind, while enjoying that sweet spot of remembering a time of complete confidence, when you were not only doing that thing, but doing that thing so well you even amazed yourself!

Now step outside your circle and stand next to it.

Now step back inside your circle and remember each of these memories and the emotions and feelings of each, one right after another, bam… bam… bam… each memory and the feelings that memory brings, then reach down to your circle and pull it up and reduce it down in size and put it on your finger.

Continue to wear this ring and see it on your finger, and anytime you need support or a little extra self-confidence, just pull the ring off your finger and place it back down on the floor and step inside it. See the ring exactly as you had designed it and see its fabulous color you gave it before.

Stand in this circle with your eyes closed and enjoy all the confidence it gave you before, once again, and again, and again, whenever you need it.

There are many NLP “neuro-linguistic programming” techniques like this one that help people move forward in their life to live the life they want.
